Medium- corn husk, recycled handmade paper | 14X6.5X4 cm | 2023-24

In this work, I have weaved the delicate torn parts of the hollow paper sculpture with corn husk fibre. The corn husk fibre as a single strand is very delicate, however when two strands come together and weave together it becomes stronger. The fragility of torn paper and the delicate nature of corn husk fiber combine to manifest a

strength that is both surprising and visually captivating, echoing the intricate balance between vulnerability and resilience found in nature. The title fragile strength reflects the idea of bringing together disparate fragments, both in the materials used and the spontaneous creative process, to form a unified, resilient whole.
